Private Sector Index

Measures the ease of cross-border trade and investment, including access to capital/credit, contract enforcement and time required to start a business. The healthy private sector in a country mitigates concerns around corruption and bribery, supply chain bottlenecks, and ability of local firms to serve as sub-contractors.

Business Ready (B-READY) is the World Bank’s new flagship report benchmarking the business environment and investment climate in most economies worldwide. The report assesses the regulatory framework and public services directed at firms, and the efficiency with which regulatory framework and public services are combined in practice.
